Johnny Mack Peters

Johnny Mack Peters, of Dothan, died Sunday, August 15, 2010 at his residence.  He was 69.

Mack was born August 23, 1940 in Houston County, Alabama, a son of the late Wilburn W. and Mary Williams Peters.  He graduated from Rehobeth High School in 1958.  He worked for many years in the awing business where he became owner and operator of Peters Awning Company.

In addition to his parents, a son, Michael Tracy Peters, who died in 1995; two brothers, Daniel R. Peters and Morris Eugene “Gene” Peters, precedes Mack in death.

Survivors include a son, Jeffrey Scott Peters, Dothan; two grandsons, Jared and Jacob Peters, Dothan;  four brothers, Jim Frank Peters (Lodell), Treadwell Peters (Mattie), Joe Peters (Twylla), Richard Peters (Barbara), all of Dothan; three sisters, Ann Skinner (Wilmer), Panama City, FL, Betty Granberry (Nelson), Dothan, Janice Elkins (Bill), Dothan;  wife, Mari-Anne Peters, Dothan.
