ALABAMA: The Alabama Department of Industrial Relations announced today that Alabama's July unemployment rate from fell from 216,501 unemployed persons in June of this year, to 202,539 unemployed persons in July. Alabama's unemployment rate is now set at 9.7%. Alabama has not seen a rate this low since April of 2009. The rate from the month of June, 2010, was 10.3%.
