Alabama Unemployment Rate Stays Down ALABAMA: The Alabama Department of Industrial Relations announced today that Alabama's July unemployment rate from fell from 216,501 unemployed persons in June of this year, to 202,539 unemployed persons in July. Alabama's unemployment rate is now set at 9.7%. Alabama has not seen a rate this low since April of 2009. The rate from the month of  June, 2010, was 10.3%. DALE COUNTY, Al. – Three Injured in Dale County Crash Just before 5:30 pm at the intersection of highway 231 and Dale County Road 63, a grey Infinity SUV pulled across the intersection going north and crashed into a white Nissan Altima, injuring two severely.
