Early this afternoon, Hodgesville Fire responded to a call of a brush fire on Willie Varnum Road near the intersection of Eddins Road. Apparently, the property owner was burning a small trash pile after clearing some brush, and wind caught the fire causing it to spread rapidly. The fire was quickly contained and extinguished by firefighters, and the only damage to the property was the grass that burned. this type of incident is common in dry weather when thick brush...
