UPDATED at 1:42 am: BREAKING: Structure fire on Sweetwater Drive
There is a confirmed structure fire at the Sweetwater apartments on Sweetwater drive. Multiple fire, police and Pilcher's ambulance vehicles are on the scene. Smoke is visible from an upstairs apartment, but the extent of the fire is unknown. It is believed that there is no one left inside. Dothan Fire Engine 3 responded to the scene of a four-vehicle accident at the intersection of Westgate Parkway and Whatley Drive this evening at around 9:50. Pilcher's Ambulance responded to the scene, but there were no reported injuries in the accident. Dothan Police had to shut down one lane of Westgate because of the vehicle wreckage. At around 6:31 pm on Sunday, Dothan Police officers were dispatched to a two vehicle collision at the intersection of Ross Clark Circle and Third Avenue. The accident was a T-bone collision between a blue Volvo and a gold sedan. Due to the accident, traffic had to be shifted into one lane both ways until the vehicles could be removed from the roadway. We are currently on the scene and will update shortly. Update: Upon arrival units found there was no active fire to the structure. Friday morning, at approximately 11:20 A.M., the Dothan Communications Center dispatched Police and Dothan Fire to the intersection of Ross Clark Circle and and Forest Drive to a motor vehicle collision involving three vehicles.
