Accident in Bay Springs Leads to DUI Arrest BAY SPRINGS / HOUSTON COUNTY: Bay Springs Fire and Wicksburg Rescue were dispatched to a single-vehicle accident on Bay Springs Road on Wednesday night. The driver of a mini-van left the roadway in a sharp curve and ended up in a corn field. There was only minor damage to the vehicle caused by the van hitting a fence after it left the roadway. The driver was checked by Ashford Rescue, but refused transport saying that he hadn't sustained any injuries....

UPDATED at 7:00 p.m.:High-Speed Chase in Dale County, Patrol Cars Involved in Crash DALE COUNTY: Units with the Dale County Sheriff's Office were involved in a high-speed pursuit this afternoon. It has been confirmed by a caller from the scene that at least three Dale County patrol cruisers were involved in a wreck on U. S. 231 between Ariton and Ozark. UPDATED at 11:00 am – Bomb threat at the Houston County Courthouse Unconfirmed sources have reported that a bomb threat has been called into The Houston County Courthouse this morning at around 9:05 am. Dothan Police initially evacuated the building and told everyone it’d be about 30 minutes. We will update as we receive more information. Three Cowarts teens Arrested for Doughnut Shop Robbery Three Cowarts teenagers are now in custody for a doughnut shop robbery in Ashford. Houston County Sheriff’s investigators arrested, Kandice McLendon, 19, Cody Postema, 17, and Cody Lee Pippin, 18, in refrence to the armed robbery of the Loyless Doughnut Shop, which is located on Highway 84 East in Ashford. The incident occurred back in May of this year. Pippin was already currently facing eighteen other pending felony charges from previous events. Each of the offenders were charged with felony...
