Suspect killed in last night’s shooting identified Houston County Coroner Robert Byrd says he has made a positive identification on the suspect killed by Dothan Police officers in last night's shooting. The shooting, which occurred last night at around 8:30 in the parking lot of the Hop-In gas station at the intersection of West Main Street and Honeysuckle Rd., left the suspect dead and two police officers injured. Houston County fugitive sought for over 3 years brought to justice In an early afternoon press conference, Houston County District Attorney Doug Valeska said that a  convict who jumped bond in late 2006 has been apprehended and is currently being held in the Houston County Jail.
