PANSEY: This morning at around 5:40, deputies were summoned to a residence on Whitaker Road in Pansey. The caller advised that the victim had been shot twice and was laying in the yard. Deputies responded to the scene and quickly set up a perimeter. Ashford Rescue and Pansey Fire responded to the scene, and the victim was transported to a local hospital. He was said to be in critical condition at the time of transport. Deputies had the intersection of Rocky Creek Road...

Houston County Coroner Robert Byrd says he has made a positive identification on the suspect killed by Dothan Police officers in last night's shooting. The shooting, which occurred last night at around 8:30 in the parking lot of the Hop-In gas station at the intersection of West Main Street and Honeysuckle Rd., left the suspect dead and two police officers injured. Ashley Wright, 39, of Eden, Georgia. was pronounced dead by doctors at the Flower's Hospital Emergency Room upon arrival...
